Prof Roger Reddel AO
Chair of the Board
Professor Roger Reddel AO is a medical oncologist, molecular geneticist and an internationally renowned expert on cancer cell immortalisation.
He is Director of Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), Westmead, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences. He also Chairs the Scientific Advisory Board of biotech company Tessellate Bio BV and is a co-founder and Director of the ProCan research program within CMRI.
Prof Reddel is internationally recognised for research on the enzyme telomerase and for discovering ALT (Alternative Lengthening of Telomeres), which together contribute to unlimited growth in >95% of cancers. He is also a co-inventor of the ALT-specific companion diagnostic tool, the c-circle assay which Tessellate Bio is co-developing as a companion diagnostic.

Dr Ian Brown
Non-Executive Director
Dr Ian Brown has had an extensive career combining international commercial activity in senior positions with academic research focused on the physiological effects of carbohydrates.
Dr Brown has tertiary qualifications in Biochemistry, Business and Education (UNE) and a PhD in Applied Bioscience (Hokkaido Uni, Japan) and he is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
Dr Brown has considerable experience in product discovery, development, commercialisation and intellectual property protection including experience with start-ups and regulation.
Dr Brown has had an active interest in the ProCan project since its initial funding as the CEO of ACRF and later as a member of its Board of Trustees.

Prof Paul Waring
Non-Executive Director
Professor Paul Waring is an Australian /British anatomical, molecular and translational pathologist. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Western Australia and PhD from Melbourne University/Walter & Eliza Hall Institute and undertook a Fellowship in Molecular Pathology at Stanford University.
Since then he has held several senior positions in the pharmaceutical (Executive Director of Translational Pathology at Astrazeneca Cambridge UK, Senior Director of Pathology and Diagnostics, Genentech San Francisco USA) and diagnostic (Vice President Medical Innovation, Roche, Tucson USA) industries and in academia (Chair of Pathology, University of Melbourne, Australia) and clinical practice (Director of Pathology, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne and the Australian Translational Genome Centre, Brisbane).
He has over 20 years’ experience co-developing cancer drugs, tissue based and genetic biomarkers and image analysis solutions ranging from pre-clinical studies to registrational clinical trials for over 80 pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarker programs.
